Thank you for a SWEET season
Our Pancake House and Sugar Bush Adventure are now closed for the 2010 season.
We wish to thank each and everyone of you who came to the farm to help us celebrate maple syrup!
We look forward to seeing you all January 8, 2011 when our Pancake House re-opens for weekend breakfasts.
Strawberry Festival
Volunteer Firefighters from Pelham Station #3 are preparing for their 8th Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday June 12, 2010 from 5pm-9pm. Join us for a fun family evening that will include carnival style games, pony rides, face painting, petting zoo, penny auction, 50/50 draw, beef on a bun, hot dogs, French fries and let’s not forget strawberry shortcake, ice cream and chocolate dipped strawberries from Sweet Thoughts.
Bry-anne Farms supplies the strawberries, WMF has graciously donated the use of the property and countless others have donated prizes and their time towards this worthy fundraiser for the Short Hills Fire Station.
Come out and have a berry special time!
Farmer's Markets
Each Thursday from May - October we'll be at the Pelham Farmer's Market.
We'll have plenty of our yummy treats including Maple Tarts, Maple Kettle Popcorn, Maple Syrup and much more.
If there is a specific item that you would like please let us know and we'd be happy to bring it to market for you.
Did you know...
The majority of our fields are all planted but there is still plenty of work to do here on the farm.
This year we have planted 3 fields of hay, 4 fields of corn, 1 field of popping corn and 3 fields of oats spread over approximatey 300 acres. (1 acre = 200ft x 200ft or about the size of a soccer field).
We've already begun to see the rewards of our labour as the oats is beginning to emerge.
Through out the coming weeks we will plant an additional field of hay and 2 fields of soya beans.
Pictures: (top) There are always things to fix on rainy days, (middle) oats emerging in the field, (bottom) although you cant see anything in the corn field yet there is lots happening under the soil.
