Season's Greeting to all our readers

What? Season's Greetings you may ask!!!! That is right. IT IS HERE! OUR PANCAKE SEASON HAS STARTED. The Pancake House is officially open every weekend until April 11 2009. We have worked very diligently in the past year to create a buttermilk and a 7 grain pancake from scratch. 180 batches later and we are finaly pleased with the results and look forward to hearing what you have to say. Cathy and her crew have been busy at work making maple cheesecake, bran muffins and our mouth watering maple butter tarts. As well, Richard has been working very hard to update our website. You have not seen it yet, check it out! Murray and his crew have been toughing these cold winter days out in the sugar bush and tapping the trees. Need to be ready to be sure to get that first run! Look for an announcement for when we will be offering our first run in the Sweet Shop.

This years special events

Valentineʼs Day (Feb. 14, 2009): we will have a special treat for your sweetie. It is available on a first come first served basis. We look forward to seeing you and your sweetie.

Family Day (Feb 16, 2009): What a better way then to spend the second provincial Family Day then at White Meadows for pancakes and treats. Make it a tradition with your family. Bring your grandparents or bring your grandkids bring your nieces or nephews, aunts or uncles.

St. Patrickʼs Day (Mar. 17, 2009): There will be a special treat for kids on a first come first served basis. Who does not love a special occasion to wear green and pretend that they are Scottish for a day.

Easter (Apr. 10, 2009): On Good Friday, we will be holding our first Easter Egg Hunt. A treat for all participants under the age of 10. Details to follow in the coming weeks. Please look on our NEW website for more details.

Maple Recipes

So many people come into our maple Sweet Shop and buy Dark Syrup for baking. Do you have a favorite recipe to share? Would you like to win a litre of syrup to make your favorite maple recipe? Send us your recipe and we will announce the winners.

Online Store

We have just launched our new website, and if you have been to it you may have noticed it laking our online store. Not to worry this is not a pernament situation. We are hoping that the new online store will be operational by late Febuary to early March. If you are out of the area and would like to order some of our maple products before this time, please email us and we will be happy to fill your maple needs.
