Did you know...
We've gone back to the baaaaaaaa-asics. Customers have been asking us for drug and hormone free meat products.
We started by producing pure maple syrup, raising cattle, raising hens for 'FRESH' Omega 3 eggs and now we've added raising sheep and lambs to our list.
The sheep are a Dorset/Suffolk mix breed which means they are known for their prolific lambs. They produce lambs twice a year and can have as many as 4 or 5. We feed our sheep hay, barley, oats, wheat, soya meal, salt and minerals. The average Ewe (female) weighs 150-200 pounds and a Ram (male) can weigh 225-275 pounds.
The lambs are born and raised here at White Meadows Farms and will be ready closer to the end of November. If you are interested in lamb meat please contact us at 905-682-0642
