Did you know...
We now have Free-run Omega-3 eggs in our Maple Sweet Shop!
Here at the farm we are now raising laying hens just for you. Our hens are free-run which means they are not cooped up in cages like commercial laying barn. They get to roam around and stretch their feathers, eat and drink as they please and cluck a whole lot. It's just what chickens do.
The hens diet consists of an Omega-3 laying mash. Laying Mash is a specially formulated chicken feed, higher in protein and various minerals including calcium suited to the nutritional needs of hens producing eggs. The mash is ground finer than normal feed and can be fed dry or moist (kind of like your cereal in the morning).
Stop by the Maple Sweet Shop to pick up this "fresh" item today!
P.S. bring your own egg carton and save 10¢/dozen |
