Strawberry Festival
Something berry-special is happening at White Meadows Farms on Saturday June 19th, 2010 from 5-9pm
Join volunteer firefighters from Pelham Station #3 as they present the 8th annual Strawberry Festival. Bring the family out for those favourite old style carnival games, face painting, pony rides, penny auction, 50/50 draw, beef on a bun, french fries and of course strawberry shortcake (local berries of course!), ice cream and chocolate dipped strawberries (from Sweet Thoughts)
Come out and support your local firefighters as they raise funds for their scholarship program and many other things. In the past they have raised funds for the Welland Hospital Foundation, Pelham Cares and an off road Rescue ATV for the Shorthills.
Come out and have a berry special time!

Did you know...
With beautiful spring weather comes time for us to begin baling hay. Our first day cutting hay was this past weekend on May 29th.
We provide hay to approximately 20 horse farms (200 horses) in the Niagara Region, 1 major exporter to the state of Florida and can be purchased at Fort Erie Race Track and Woodbine Race Track through Minor Brothers.
Most of our hay is a mix of Timothy and Alfalfa. These grasses and legumes provide much needed protein, fat, carbohydrates and fibre for the horse and cattle alike.
Timothy contains 10% protein, 1.5% fat and 32% fiber while Alfalfa contains 16% protein, 1.5% fat and 32% fiber.
